In 2007, Joseph Greco published our Preliminary Experience and Extended Applications for the Use of Platelet Rich Plasma in Hair Restoration Surgery 1 then, in 2009, he published The Effects of Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma on Non-Transplanted Miniaturized Hair 2 and the use of PRP as a non-surgical treatment for hair restoration was introduced.

In 2009, Dr. Greco received a Research Grant to Study the Effects of Autologous Growth Factors in Alopecia Areata and reported the results in Amsterdam, The Netherlands3 2010.

A patent was then granted for a Skin Treatment for Promoting Hair Growth utilizing PRP for hair regeneration on Jan 5th, 2016. Over the past 16 years, our Bio Scalp non-surgical treatments have evolved and the addition of newer more effective biologics have emerged.

In 2009 Dr. Greco published the importance of a “matrix” or scaffold to hold the regenerative growth factors in the treatment area longer allowing for more regeneration and better results than traditional PRP matrix scaffolding. See the difference in Fig 1, below.

Above is an electron microscopic comparison of our natural concentrated protein matrix (on the right) and a typical protein matrix made in Platelet Rich Plasma (on the left). Because ours is a much denser concentration your regenerative proteins will stay in the treated area longer, yield better results and require less treatments that regular PRP.

Another important difference is our more purified form of PRP or Cytokine Rich Plasma (Right side). See Fig 2 below.

These two very important proprietary advancements allows us to achieve much better results that traditional PRP.

Today, the addition of other advanced biologics allows us to combine them with our technology for even greater “non-surgical” results. See Fig 3, below.
