Can Infusion of Growth Factors “wake-up” Dormant Follicular Stem Cells? YES!

Case Study (Alopecia Areata)

Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is an organ specific autoimmune disease where patients loose spots of hair in various places on the body. The follicular stem cells are not destroyed but rather go into a dormant stage.

This female patient presented to a Dermatologist 6 month earlier and when she was referred to our clinic the area of hair loss had expanded outward. While cortisone injections are traditionally used, the medicine can cause side effects. This patient did not want cortisone so follicular biologic injections were elected.

One month after one treatment she began to grow hair and her results are illustrated.

The best way to evaluate a patient is to arrange a personal, in-depth consultation. However, this is impossible for many patients who fly in from other parts of the country or world. For this reason we have developed the remote consultation package, which is an acceptable alternative to the in-person personal consult.

Once your photos and questionnaire are reviewed, we will telephone you to discuss your questions or concerns regarding the procedure. You will also be given a suggested treatment plan and the costs involved. Click here for more complete information on our free on-line hair restoration consultation process.
