In hair transplantation, hairs that are genetically programmed to grow for a lifetime are surgically removed from the patient’s donor area and transplanted to the male pattern bald area. These transplanted hairs, which are resistant to the effects of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) will then grow for the patient’s lifetime. At virtually any stage of baldness a person can benefit from hair transplantation (if their expectations are realistic). It really comes down to – how much hair do you need in your balding/thinning area to be happy, and how much hair can realistically be moved to this area? To determine what hair transplantation can accomplish for you, we first need to evaluate your present degree of hair loss and estimate your future hair loss. We then need to evaluate your donor area with regard to specific hair characteristics and density. This evaluation in combination with your goales and expectations will provide us with an basis for developing a realistic hair restoration plan that will work for you.
The best way to evaluate a patient is to arrange a personal, in-depth consultation. However, this is impossible for many patients who fly in from other parts of the country or world. For this reason we have developed the remote consultation package, which is an acceptable alternative to the personal consult:
By completing this form, taking pictures of your thinning areas, and sending them to us, we can provide you with a preliminary plan for surgically restoring your hair. You also agree to receive future mailings from Greco Medical Group concerning any additional information and promotions.
Once your photos and questionnaire are reviewed, we will telephone you to discuss your questions or concerns regarding the procedure. You will also be given a suggested treatment plan and the costs involved.
If you are a viable candidate for surgical hair restoration and schedule a procedure, you and your physician will take as much time as needed to finalize your hair restoration plans on the day of the procedure.
Please complete the form below to begin your free consultation process.
