What if the secret to curing baldness has been hiding in your hair all along?

University of Virginia School of Medicine researchers have discovered a little-known group of stem cells in hair follicles that could bring back lost locks, challenging some long-held beliefs.
UVA's Dr. Lu Q. Le states "Importantly, we found that in the human bald scalp, although the hair shafts are gone, this population of novel hair stem cells is still present in the upper hair follicle. This means that if we could reactivate these cells to migrate down and repopulate the bulge, they could potentially regrow hair on a bald scalp."

Ralf Paus, an eminent hair researcher, has been saying for more than twenty years that "even in bald scalp we have follicles and no one has proven we can't regenerate them," and we have been disciples of this theory. This has been our mantra since 2000 in non-surgical hair research/treatments and this study gives more scientific evidence to this theory.
