Medical History:
Titanium cage, L5/S1, rods and screws. Loose Hardware -Facing Surgical Removal of Hardware Not able to ride in a car 1 hour. Strong Family History of Heart Disease. Two cardiac stents. High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides.
In 2005, Maria was unable to ride in a car more than 1 hour, the titanium cage implanted with rods and screws in 2001 was loose and causing intense pain. A failed bone graft in 2005 led the surgeons to suggest an extensive surgery to remove the hardware.
More importantly, she had a very strong family history of heart disease, already had two cardiac stents because coronary artery disease, high cholesterol, high triglycerides and was unable to exercise because of her back pain.
In 2007, she decided not to have the loose hardware removed and had one session of PRP/Matrix (OroGen Plus, OroGen BioSciences) injected into her back, a second session of OroGen Plus, in 2009 and a third session of PRP with concentrated matrix. In 2010, her MRI demonstrated “total fusion of the titanium cage” and “no loose hardware”!
Since Maria was injected with cellular therapy (OroGen BioSciences) she was able to workout and diet properly. Today, she has transformed herself both inside and out! Her cholesterol and triglycerides are all in the normal range and she trains very hard in the gym daily.
Watch the videos below of Maria and imagine how this exercise would be possible with loose hardware in her lower back!
The best way to evaluate a patient is to arrange a personal, in-depth consultation. However, this is impossible for many patients who fly in from other parts of the country or world. For this reason we have developed the remote consultation package, which is an acceptable alternative to the in-person personal consult.
Once your photos and questionnaire are reviewed, we will telephone you to discuss your questions or concerns regarding the procedure. You will also be given a suggested treatment plan and the costs involved. Click here for more complete information on our free on-line hair restoration consultation process.
