Hope for Your Elbow Pain

A study supporting the use of PRP for the treatment of tennis elbow was presented at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). It showed that 84% of the treated people reported significantly less pain and elbow tenderness. Cortisone was used for years and had been ineffective for tennis elbow. Greco Hair Restoration has been using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Cytokine Rich Plasma (CRP) for tennis elbow for years with great success. We have a large multi-center placebo-controlled trial that supports the use of PRP for this condition. Greco Hair Restoration can honestly say we have been using PRP and CRP for the past 15 years for orthopedic conditions as well as hair restoration. As part of a biotech company, we developed a more purified form of PRP that no one else was using called CRP (Cytokine Rich Plasma). Currently, our proprietary CRP, with the natural protein matrix we create in our processing method, is an essential component of our treatment protocol, alone or in combination with regenerative therapies.  We have published, lectured, and taught the benefits of Orthobiologics to physicians both nationally and internationally. Greco Hair Restoration has the experience and technology to help you heal yourself safely and naturally.

On the mend, PRP treatment extends ballplayer's career.

Commonly we read about big-name sports stars who receive non-surgical PRP treatments. Sometimes an athlete who is above the average age of those he plays and competes with suffers an injury, and surgery might mean an end to their career. Such a story was published by the Connecticut Post about a baseball player with an elbow injury who was sent down to the minor leagues to mend.

For this player, PRP treatment meant his professional career would go on:

Outfielder Joe Mather thought that he might have played the final game of his career. He suffered a tear in the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. It’s an injury that is often remedied by Tommy John surgery, which would have sidelined Mather for seven to 12 months. At the age of 32, he knew there was no guarantee that he could have returned for a 15th season.

However, that was not a decision Mather had to make. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection in early July and again found himself on the active roster with the Bluefish. “It was scary at first,” Mather said. “I thought it was going to be (Tommy John surgery). So I was pretty pleased that they had an alternative. That kind of took some weight off my shoulders. It’s still a little tentative just because I don’t know if this is going to stick, but so far, it’s been good.”

Greco Hair Restoration, in Sarasota, Florida, has been a pioneer in the field of regenerative medicine, PRP, and CRP treatments. They have had remarkable success helping athletes and non-athletes avoid costly and painful surgeries with breakthrough technologies that restore healthy joints, tendons, and ligaments. Greco Hair Restoration currently uses CRP/Matrix technology, with multiple advantages over traditional PRP, alone or in combination with regenerative therapies to successfully treat tennis elbow, rotator cuff tears, patellar tendonitis, hip tendonitis, and more injuries and aches for weekend warriors and anyone who suffers from chronic pain.
